The headset sound+mic still works over bluetooth with the motherboard, but bluetooth connections can be unreliable so I still would like to figure out this plug-in audio issue. I've also tested this same headset and cable on my friend's Windows 10 laptop (both with and without the sound card) and it worked. In all cases, the speakers work great, but it just doesn't pick up on my mic input. The RealTek ALC1220 Audio Codec, or 'front panel audio jack' 2.

I've tried mic input three ways, using the same headset and cable (and uninstalling/installing drivers for each): 1. 2) If you connect your headphone or your speakers to the front audio jack, click the Playback tab. To check your default audio device: 1) Right click the volume icon, then click Sounds. I've uninstalled the device in device manager, and downloaded the Realtek Audio Driver from the ASRock site- Perhaps your device connected to your front audio jack is not working properly because it’s not set as the default device. I'm not sure if this is the board or Windows 10 (I've seen a lot of people have issues with the Windows 10 audio) but I've gone through most of those suggestions and it still doesn't work. I have the B550 Phantom Gaming-ITX/ax, it's been ~2-3 weeks and running great-but I'm having an issue with audio input.
